Telco Systems personnel receive prestigious awards for contributions to the MEF

Rami Yaron, VP of Strategy and Business Development for Telco Systems and Co-Chair of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Global Marketing Committee, was named an Outstanding Contributor in recognition of his contribution that went “above and beyond” in driving forward the work of the MEF and its mission.

Those selected for the Outstanding Contributor Award represent the MEF leaders and participants whose substantial contributions in one or more of the committees proved instrumental in shaping and progressing works of the MEF, including those who contributed to the development of MEF’s new vision and strategy.

Rami was also singled out for his contribution as editor on the MEF white paper, Synchronization for LTE Small Cells as well as another white paper, Backhaul for Urban Small Cells.

The defining body for Carrier Ethernet, MEF is a global industry alliance comprising more than 220 organizations including telecommunications service providers, cable MSOs, network equipment and software manufacturers, semiconductors vendors and testing organizations. Its mission is to accelerate the worldwide adoption of carrier-class Ethernet networks and services.

MEF’s annual Member Recognition Awards Program was established to formally recognize those individuals who contribute substantial time and efforts to the MEF, to the benefit of the industry, and to acknowledge the support that their companies provide in enabling such contributions.
