We can take the heat…and the cold!

Environmental conditions in outdoor cabinets may be sheltered from the elements, like wind, rain and snow, but they are subjected to the extremes of temperature and humidity.  Field devices in this type of environment must be temperature hardened to ensure continuous operation.

Here’s what you should look for when choosing networking products for outdoor installation include:

  • Operating temperature from at least -40C to +60C (-40F to 140F)
  • Redundant power
  • Outdoor power supplies
  • No fan

Telco Systems offers temperature hardened solutions that can support outdoor applications including FTTH/residential, wireless/radio/microwave substations backhaul, outdoor malls, utility substations, and SmartGrid applications, video surveillance applications.
