The EdgeGate 242W is a combined indoor residential gateway and wireless home router all in one. The unit delivers full triple-play services, including enhanced TV options with support for both IPTV and RF video, advanced routing capabilities and enhanced telephony features like three-way caling, call forward and hold, distinctive ring and T.38 support for fax over IP. |
A built-in bridge and router enable customers to connect their home network either through on of four 10/100Base-T LAN ports or the wireless 802.11b/g access port. The modular design allows for the fiber optics to be installed prior to the service activation, and the active components to be connected once a service agreement has been obtained. Read more...

Carrier Ethernet products have been enhanced with a new management feature and a new demarcation option:
BiNOS Service Mediator provides unprecedented flexibility and scalability in the management of the Company’s customer-located demarcation devices. BiNOS Service Mediator utilizes the T5C-XG aggregation switch as a mediation server to securely authenticate and monitor the client devices at the customer edge. Service mediation automates the initial provisioning efforts, enhances security, and improves the monitoring of remote demarcation devices. Service mediation offloads much of the resources required to communicate to thousands of demarcation devices, making the network more scalable. Read more…

The T-Marc® 280 is the newest member of the Company’s T-Marc family of intelligent, remotely-managed demarcation devices |
which are purpose-built to integrate networking, testing and assurance capabilities. Two tri-speed customer access ports enable providers to support two separate customers on a single device. The second access port may also be used to create a DMZ (demilitarized zone or data management zone) to separate external (public) traffic from the customer’s internal network. Each access port supports a single EVC and UNI with four traffic classes. Dual network uplinks include an SFP-based fiber and a combo tri-speed/fiber port. Read more…
