US Broadband Stimulus Update

NTIA Posts Online Database Of Broadband Stimulus Funding Bids

As promised, the National Telecommunications & Information Administration has posted an online database of the bids submitted for the first of the $7.2 million broadband stimulus funding.

NTIA said Wednesday that the approximately 2,200 bids came from five territories and the District of Columbia in addition to all 50 states. more

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration will award $1.6 billion in broadband financing during this round and $4.7 billion overall. The Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utilities Service will award $2.4 billion this round and an additional $100 million later. more
