Called CloudMetro100, the platform includes a switch and Intel x86 CPU. The product is targeted at service providers that want to move to more agile and orchestrated virtual environments. CloudMetro100 supports Carrier Ethernet 2.0, IP/MPLS, and OpenFlow, as well as NETCONF and YANG for network management.
The unveiling of CloudMetro100 follows on the footsteps of Telco Systems’ introduction of ViNOX, the new operating system being used within the company’s Open Metro Edge devices to allow for more efficient operations, administration and maintenance; multiple transport support (including .1Q, Q-in-Q, and IP/MPLS); quality of service; and resiliency.
