Telco Systems Interoperates at CEWC 2010
Sep 20, 2010
WARSAW, POLAND — September 20, 2010 — Telco Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC) and provider of multi-service Carrier Ethernet access and demarcation solutions, today announced multi-vendor interoperability for its recently released T-Metro 7224 10Gigabit Multiservice Aggregation Switch and T-Metro 7124S 10Gigabit Enhanced Service Switch. The devices were tested during a two-week hot staging at EANTC (European Advanced Networking Test Center) in Berlin earlier this month, which focused on mobile backhaul synchronization, Ethernet OAM implementations, and high availability protocols.
The Carrier Ethernet interoperability event at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress 2010 is organized by EANTC. The EANTC test network includes devices from 24 vendors which construct a single interoperable multi-vendor Carrier Ethernet network supporting MEF defined business services and mobile backhaul solutions. In addition, the tests validate the interoperability of different transport technologies including MPLS-TP solutions and PBB-TE/VPLS interworking as well as a range of microwave solutions. Additional information can be found at http://www.eantc.com/cewc2010.
Now in its sixth year, the Carrier Ethernet World Congress (CEWC) is firmly established as the world’s foremost public event to validate the interoperability of product innovations in the field of Carrier Ethernet, actually producing unbiased, verified hands-on results.
“We appreciate Telco Systems’ long-standing participation in our Carrier Ethernet multi-vendor interoperability events since 2006, continually validating advanced implementation aspects,” said Carsten Rossenhovel, Managing Director of EANTC AG. “We are happy to see that Telco Systems has successfully completed interoperability testing of the latest additions to the T-Metro family this time, specifically Synchronous Ethernet slave support on the T-Metro 7124S and pseudowire redundancy on the T-Metro 7224.”
Further information describing the testing procedures and the results in detail can be found in the extensive 20-page white paper available for download from http://www.eantc.com/cewc2010.
