Telco System’s compliance with ISO 14001 is based on an assessment of the company’s Carrier Ethernet products including the use of non-renewable resources, environmental impact, waste avoidance and lifecycle planning, design and assessment. The audit of Telco Systems’ facility was performed by the Standards Institution of Israel. "We understand the detrimental impact manufacturing facilities have on the surrounding environment and we have worked very hard to implement processes and systems that the address these concerns," said CEO Dr. Zvi Marom. "The ISO 14001 certification recognizes Telco Systems' Environmental Management System which minimizes the way our manufacturing operations affect the environment. While the certification was performed at our facility at Yokneam, Israel, the practices that we've implemented are being repeated at other manufacturing facilities located throughout the world in order to reduce our carbon footprint." ISO 14001 addresses a process of manufacturing which reduces the environmental impact and provides the ability to analyze and report on the environment aspects of products allowing an organization to continually improve its production processes.
