Telco System and Certes Networks offer service providers advanced security for virtualized network services

Telco Systems and Certes Networks will cooperate to offer service providers highly flexible secure enterprise network services incorporating the industry’s most powerful enterprise application security solution.

The two companies have collaborated to offer Certes’ vCEP (Virtual Certes Enforcement Point). The solution is the first virtual security policy enforcer that automatically encrypts enterprise application traffic in cloud and virtual environments.

Telco Systems and Certes have deployed the vCEP on Telco Systems’ CloudMetro vCPE whitebox and greybox platforms, which provide a carrier-grade distributed network functions virtualization (D-NFV) solution that empowers service providers to transform their networks to become highly orchestrated, agile and virtualized.

By using the innovative vCEP, service providers can provide enterprise customers with highly agile services, featuring high performance encryption of enterprise traffic that can be activated and modified on demand.

“The combined solution will enable service providers to offer their business customers the perfect blend of flexibility, performance, availability and security,” said Raanan Tzemach, vice president of Product Management and Marketing for Telco Systems. “The resulting service offerings will promote high enterprise customer satisfaction and loyalty, while providing a foundation for even more advanced virtualized services.”

Certes’ vCEP uses patented CryptoFlow group encryption technology to provide scalable data traffic protection without compromising network or application performance. Service providers will use Telco Systems’ EdgeGenie Orchestrator to provision the vCEP enforcer on CloudMetro whitebox edge devices, securing enterprise connectivity to remote offices and other external sites, as well as for small and medium business customers.

“Virtualized networking offers unprecedented adaptability, allowing enterprises to fine tune connectivity services to their specific needs,” said Satyam Tyagi, CTO of Certes Networks. “But flexibility should never compromise communications security, especially in this era of heightened cyber attacks and data breaches. By deploying this joint solution from Telco Systems and Certes, service providers can offer enterprise customers rapid service turn-up and customization with state-of-the-art security that safeguard their most sensitive applications.”
