The Israeli Ministry of Finance awarded Telco Systems an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Certification, recognizing the company’s international supply chain security.
The certificate validates Telco Systems position as a secure and safe business partner. With AEO, Telco Systems will benefit from fewer and quicker customs examinations, allowing for quicker delivery times, reducing costs and paper work. This in turn will further improve customer service.
Unified standards for the security, compliance and financial viability of the global supply chain are a key criteria for certification in this program. The aim of the program is to facilitate foreign trade with other countries that Israel has mutual agreements with.
The main benefit of this certification is recognition as a secure and safe business partner.
Other key benefits include:
- Easier admittance to customs simplifications
- Reduced theft and losses
- Fewer delayed shipments
- Improved customer service
The Authorized Economic Operator program is a voluntary program for global supply chain security and trade facilitation, based on the SAFE Framework of Standards of the World Customs Organization adopted by Israel Customs Directorate in 2005.
The AEO program is comparable to the United States’ Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program which is a voluntary supply chain security program led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and focused on improving the security of private companies’ supply chains with respect to terrorism.
