Position Summary:
The company is looking for a Senior Sales Director responsible for sales activities in USA central region. Focus is sales prospecting of new logos and sales management/growth of existing logos within Tier 2 and Tier 3 Service Providers (CSP and MSP), regional municipalities, and public utilities of Telco Systems Carrier Ethernet/MPLS products and Network Virtualization/Edge Computing Software solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for building a pipeline of new logos and closing new opportunities within the target region – This is primarily a New Logo focused position
• Promote and close sales with current end user customers and resellers
• Prepare sales proposals, technical product presentations, and independently manage your own sales activities to create a meaningful pipeline of business within a short period of time
• Influence go-to-market strategies by providing feedback to management on current and future product requirements and sales blockers
• Actively participate in local and regional tradeshows and other relevant market events
• Leverage personal, social, and professional networks to identify and develop relationships with prospects
• Operate your business in a professional manner with frequent updates and regular maintenance of leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities in Hubspot
Requirements:
• 7+ years’ experience selling telecommunications solutions to customers in the Central Region USA with optical transport, carrier ethernet (MEF) and MPLS wide area networking
• Or 10+ years’ experience in a front-line presales role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Field/Product Marketing) with a healthy rolodex of experience supporting target Tier 2 and Tier 3 services providers within the Central Region
• Central Region includes: North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Mississippi
• Current relationships with Tier 2 and 3 SPs, regional municipalities, and public utilities in the territory
• Broad technical acumen required in telecommunications or networking, cloud/edge computing, and network functions (SDWAN, Routing, Firewall, etc..)
• Background and experience to carry out most of the selling cycle independently
• Excellent business presence with ability to work effectively at multiple levels within customer organizations
• High-energy, strategic leader possessing a strong sense of urgency and a track record of cold calling, lead generation and closing complex deals
• BA/BS degree or equivalent. MBA a plus.
